Open Burning permits are available free of charge and are issued for 30-day periods. Permits can be found at the Town Clerk's Office or can be filled out online here.  

Permits may only be obtained by the property owner or an authorized representative and are valid for the burning of brush only. All guidelines are listed on the permit and must be followed.

Anyone with a valid permit must call 860-364-0909 (Stanley MacMillan, Jr., Fire Marshal) on each day burning is planned.
All fires must be completely extinguished by 5:00 PM.
