  1. Bids for contract to perform the Annual Audit of the Town of Canaan per State regulations.
  2. Review, finalize and approve Municipal Spending Plan for 2022-2023 for presentation at Town Meeting.
  3. Review, finalize and approve Educational Spending Plan for 2022-2023 for presentation at Town Meeting.
  4. Review, act on Selectmen’s request that the Board of Finance recommend to Town Meeting the appropriation of $18,000 from the P & Z Reserve Account #6001431, for the purpose of the rewriting of our zoning regulations to bring them up to date.
  5. Review, act on the Selectmen’s request that the Board of Finance recommend to Town Meeting that $2000 from the P & Z Attorney line be reappropriated to the Consultant/Engineer/Planner line and that and additional $3500 be appropriated to Consultant/Engineer/Planner the line from the General Fund to cover higher than expected Consultant costs due to high activity.
  6. Review, act on the Selectmen’s request that the Board of Finance recommend to Town Meeting that $14,700 be appropriated from ARPA funds for the Falls Village-Canaan Historical Society, Inc. to assist with roofing the Falls Village Depot.
  7. Review, act on the Selectmen’s request that the Board of Finance to recommend to Town Meeting that $10,000 be appropriated from ARPA funds for the D. M. Hunt Library to mitigate basement water problem.
  8. Review, act on the Selectmen’s request that the Board of Finance recommend to Town Meeting that an appropriation in the amount of $18,000 be made from Reserve Account 170263054 – 107/108 Property Reserve Account for the purpose of updating the required elevator electronics.
  9. Review, act on the Selectmen’s request that the Board of Finance recommend to Town Meeting that up to $5000 be appropriated from ARPA funds for the Town’s portion of the cost to build a Charging Station from the Eversource EV Station Grant ($20,000).
  10. Review and act on Selectmen’s recommendation that the Board of Finance approve the extension of the Downtown Incentive Ordinance for three years.
