Office of Selectman

The Board of Selectmen is the executive body of the Town of Canaan (Falls Village).  It is our responsibility to plan, organize, administer and direct those administrative duties in accordance with all laws, ordinances and policies enacted.

The First Selectman is the daily coordinator of these duties on a daily basis.  Also, the First Selectman serves as an ex-officio member of all Boards and Commissions of the town as well as being the Chief of Police.

Our regular meetings are held monthly and are listed on the town calendar as well as any Special Meetings that are scheduled on an ‘as needed’ basis.  All meetings are open to the public and attendance is welcomed.
